Multisensoriële storytelling (MSST) is verhaal vertellen aan de hand van sensorische prikkels. De literatuur beschrijft verschillende positieve effecten van activiteiten die gekoppeld zijn aan sensorische stimulatie.In het werkveld komen ergotherapeuten alsmaar meer in contact met mantelzorgers die moeilijkheden ondervinden om een zinvol of betekenisvol moment met hun familielid met dementie invulling te geven. De mantelzorgers zijn op zoek naar een nieuwe activiteit. MSST kan zich aanbieden als activiteit maar er is de vraag naar een informatiekanaal om zich bekend te maken bij mantelzorgers.Er werd een informatiebrochure ontwikkeld die door verschillende mantelzorgers en professionelen geëvalueerd werd zodat het aan de noden en verwachtingen van de mantelzorgers voldoet.Dit resulteerde in een brochure die een gepaste lay-out heeft en voldoende informatie bevat over MSST.De brochure kan in het werkveld worden gebruikt door mantelzorgers die op zoek zijn naar een zinvol of betekenisvol moment met hun familielid met dementie.
